Fritz Galette, PhD, Founder
Dr. Fritz Galette is a New York State Licensed Psychologist. As the Director of Positive Psychology Associates PLLC, he leads and collaborates with a team of licensed therapists, resident counselors, and clinical interns to provide psychotherapy, counseling and coaching to dozens of individuals, couples, and families each week. With his unique, deceptively laid-back yet aggressive approach, Dr. Galette works with individuals in the areas of trauma, anxiety, depression, stress management, couple and family therapy, peak performance, life balance, and strategic career planning.
Dr. Galette has been interviewed for commentary by a number of media outlets including The New York Times, Psychology Today Radio, Next Avenue Magazine and Ebony Magazine.
He currently produces a cable TV program called “Dr. Fritz,” which can be seen on cable stations throughout New York City. Each show offers viewers enlightened, informed and useful information and tips regarding everyday challenges and struggles.
The TV show is based on Dr. Galette’s former WWRL AM radio show “Ask Dr. Fritz.” In the show Dr. Galette engaged special guests and live callers on issues such as mental health and wellness, healthy relationships, and finding happiness as well as topical issues such as racism, gun violence and politics. Noted guests included bodybuilder and actor Lou Ferrigno (The Incredible Hulk), jazz musician Pat Martino, state and national politicians, artists, authors, and community leaders.
Dr. Galette holds a doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Fordham University and has been an adjunct professor of psychology at New York University, Fordham University, Queens College, and Lehman College.
