This Mindful Morning Routine Uses Your 5 Senses To Boost Your Mood

Start With 2 Minutes In The Morning

Sight: Notice the weather outside the window - is there a bright winter sunshine or a cloudy grayness? Are there signs of life or a peaceful quiet?

Hear: Listen for the sounds in your home or outside. Notice the sounds you make as you get ready.

Touch: Notice the warmth in your hot cup of coffee or tea. Notice how it feels in your hands, held up to your cheek, and as you take slow sips.

Taste: Take in the different flavors and sensations of your hot coffee, minty toothpaste, and the sweetness or saltyness of breakfast.

Smell: Breathe in the scents of your hot morning drink, the food you nourish your body with, or the products you use while getting ready for your day.
